Amber Rae Bernhardt

BIO:

Amber Rae Bernhardt, originally from Bismarck, ND, is a BFA graduate of North Dakota State University. A cofounder of Fargo’s Theatre B, she also served on the administrative team at Trollwood Performing Arts School, before relocating to Chicago. In the Windy City, Amber Rae worked with several production companies and independent artists as an actor, director, technician and promoter. She even had a hand in producing many original pieces, including a run at the esteemed Donny’s Skybox with the Second City. Amber Rae worked for the iconic Lakeshore Theatre and the reputable public relations firm, Carol Fox & Associates, giving her the opportunity to learn the fine art of communications, while working alongside some major shows and talent. In 2010, she returned to Bismarck to be closer to her family and found herself quickly employing her production management and promotional skills as the Executive Director of Dakota Stage Ltd. During that time, Amber Rae introduced new programming and productions to the area and had the opportunity to work with other creative entities in town, including Bismarck State College Theatre and Northern Plains Dance. Additionally, she has starred in several stage productions and commercials, created her own television personality, co-hosted a weekly talk radio hour and acted as a fill in co-host for a lifestyle television morning show. Several years ago, Amber Rae assumed the role of Marketing and Annual Support Campaign (fundraising) Director at the Missouri Valley Family YMCA, using her extensive communications experience to enhance promotions and development at the esteemed institution. Recently, Amber Rae relocated with her family to the Twin Cities area and continues to work for the Y remotely from her bright green, wood paneled office in her basement. Amber Rae resides in St. Paul, Minnesota, with her partner, Tommy, their two beautiful little boys, Nikki and Levon and a dog with no discernable musical talent; Cuba.
